SHANNON RANGERS. Shannon Rangers G A A Club who are made up of the following clubs Asdee, Ballylongford, Ballydonoghue, Tarbert and Ballyduff are at the minute prepairing hard for their clash with the famed Dr. Crokes Club in the opening round of the Garveys County Senior Football Championship on Saturday May 23rd at a venue not decided on. It’s a tough draw no doubt and after the heroics of last year getting to the semi final this will no doubt be a tough assignment to get over the first round. However with a strong panel  of players available to management they are sure to make life difficult for the Killarney side.

FUNDRAISER. The Shannon Rangers Club are also undergoing a Night at the Dogs on Friday May 29th at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium,Tralee. Tickets are at the moment selling well and can be obtained from any of the above clubs or any Shannon Rangers club officers at E10 which will include entry for one adult to the Race Track on the night with free programme included. Children under 14 will have free admission. Prize money of E500 for the holder of the ticket with the winning combination. If the number sequence on the purchased ticket matches the big final result of the feature race on the night you win that first prize of E500.

MUNSTER SEMI FINAL. Congratulations to our neighbouring clubs Jason Foley, Brian O Seanachain, Ballydonoghue Jack Goulding from Ballyduff, Cormac Linnane from Beale and Bryan Sweeney from Listowel Emmets who all played their part in Kerrys magnificent victory over Cork in the Electric Munster Minor Championship Semi Final played at Austin Stack Park, Tralee on Wednesday evening last. Next up will be Tipperary in the Munster Final in July. This must surely be the larges representation of North Kerry players within the District Board. In fact Michael Foley another Ballydonoghue star for the future would have been on the panel only that he picked up an injury and wasn’t available but will certainly be ready to go for the Munster Final.
