SCOR SINSEAR CIARRAI

County Final day was just a bridge too far for our Club representatives; Donal Dalton in the Recitation category along with our Quiz team Maria Alice Walsh, Nodie Hennessy, Padraig Buckley and Mike O Connor (finishing in a top 5 position out of 12 teams) held at Brosna Community Centre recently in the Estuary Print and Trophies, Ballylongford Sponsored County Finals of Scor Sinsear. All participants can feel proud of their efforts in reaching this stage of the competition.                                                                                                                             SCOR NA bPAISTI. Once again Asdee competitors and supporters were out in force at a packed Marian Hall Moyvane recently which hosted probably the most popular of the three competitions. Liam O Connor, Caoimhe Moloney, Emma Lynch and Brendan Keane were first up as members of the Quiz team going down in a tie breaker,; this was followed by Padraig Lynch who sang beautifully in the solo singing while last but by no means least we had the Ballad Group of Padraig Lynch, Leona Sheehy, Haemish O Carroll, Elaine Keane and Liam O Connor. Without doubt even though we failed to enter the visitors enclosure these youngsters gave a great account of themselves despite the high standard of competition that was on view and certainly the future of Scor looks safe as a result. A special thank you on behalf of the club to all who represented the club and to Club Cultural Officer Kathleen Carmody for the mighty effort she put in making sure the Club would be involved in competition.
