HALF MARATHON.  Asdee GAA in association with Kerry Respite Care will be holding the inaugural Asdee GAA Half Marathon and 10km road race on this Saturday September 13th commencing at 1pm sharp. The event will also incorporate a 5km fun run/walk. All the routes will start & finish at the grounds of Asdee GAA, Jack Walsh Memorial Park. There will be chip & pin timing for all runners in the Half/Marathon and 10km runs which will allow the competitors to measure their times.The event is open to all runners of any age or fitness level and from any county but we will also be expecting a number of competitive athlethes particularly for the Half-marathon and 10km races. It is AAI permited. The main sponsors of the event are  Heaphys Centra, Ballylongford, Beale Hill Windfarm and  Listowel Autos Ltd

A final reminder to those of you who are contemplating attending the All Ireland Senior Football and Minor Finals  at Croke Park on Sunday September 21st; you are requested to contact Club Secretary Mark O Hanlon well in advance of this Friday September 12th  deadline with your name.

Only fully paid up members will be entitled to put their name forward.

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. The draw took place for the Bernard O Callaghan Memorial Senior Football Championship 2014 Sponsored by McMunns Bar and Restaurant, Ballybunion on Tuesday night last September 2nd. The Seaside Village hoisted the event where the local St. Marys Asdee were given a tough assignment being drawn against their great rivals and near neighbours Beale in the opening round and indeed the Seasiders would be one of the favourites to lift the Eamon O Donoghue Cup come December.

UNDER 21 CLUB. Asdee/Bally/Beale put up a terrific performance before going down in a high scoring encounter to a star studded Dr. Crokes side after extra time played at Stack Park, Ballybunion on Wednesday evening last in round 2 of the County Club Championship. Only a point seperated the sides in the first period of extra time but two late goals in the second period of extra time saw  Dr. Crokes 5-14  Asdee/Bally/Beale 4-11 go marching in the the next round.  

FIXTURES

COUNTY LEAGUERemaining County League games; home to Dr.Crokes “B”  in a back fixture and away to both Sneem/Derrynane and Duagh. Dates to be confirmed.

COUNTY NOVICE

In the draw for County Novice Shield Rd 1,  Fossa  will take on last years champions  Asdee at Fossa on this Sunday September 14th at 2pm..

MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Asdee/Bally will take on Knock/Brosna in the semi final of the North Kerry Division 13 a side championship

UNDER 21 CHAMPIONSHIP The combination side of Asdee/Bally/Beale have drawn Listowel Emmets in the quarter final of the North Kerry Under 21 Championship.
