COUNTY LEAGUE  Asdee  0-4  Sneem/Derrynane  0-11.
Sneem/Derrynane made the long trip to North Kerry worthwhile when they defeated an  Asdee side who were short a number of regulars in Round 2 of the Credit Union County League played at a very windy Walsh Park on Sunday last. The opening half saw scoring been at a premium and this was possibly due to some terrific defending by both rearguards.

However even though defences were solid the wides were totting up on both sides and with Asdee having wind advantage it was they who were the bigger culprits kicking 11 first half wides and at the interval had only 1pt to show for the plenty possession they enjoyed during the first half as the visitors finished with 3pts. It was always going to be an uphill battle for the second half as the home side just simply were always playin catch-up football.

Sneem/Derrynane looked to be always in control and with Ian Galvin, and R. Hussey in good scoring form they pulled away in the end to record a 7pt victory. John Doran and Padraig Ruddle worked hard at midfield for the home side but it was never enough to put a halt to the South Kerrymen.
