MINORS Asdee/Bally0-10 Brosna/Knock 3-13.
Minor North Kerry League Division 2 played in Brosna on Thursday evening last was quite competitive as both sides were eager in the opening half and matched each other point for point in the early stages with points from Kieran Kelly and Eoin Tydings and Michael Holly for Bally/Asdee. Knock/Brosna had a height advantage at midfield but the combination play from the visitors kept them in touch. Further points exchanged saw the half time score 0-7 to 0-5 in favour of the home side. Goals proved to be crucial for Knock/Brosna in the second half. The visitors had five points in the second half including nice points from play for Scott Fenlon and Michael Holly. A few alterations to the home side in that second half seemed to make all the difference. Asdee/Bally now with their remainig game penciled in for Ballylongford this Thursday is simply a must win game for the combination side if they hope to reach the knockout stages of the competition.
