General Meeting at the Community Centre on this Saturday January 7th
commencing at 8pm sharp. Motions and nominations must be with
Secretary Mark O Hanlon on or before Thursday January 5th. Nothing
accepted beyond that date. All positions in the Club are up for grabs
so come along; attend the meeting; air your views on the situation and
keep the St. Marys flag flying; all for the betterment of St. Marys
starting its 31st year since its formation in 1986. New members going
forward for a position in the Club would be very welcome but must be
present at the meeting on the night; otherwise it will be a wasted
nomination. This is the rule and will be strictly adhered to.

CONGRATS. Congratulations to John Joe O Carroll, Kilcolman who was
returned unopposed as County Committee Delegate to Croke Park. John
Joe who is the first County Board Officer from the Club took up office
as Treasurer back in 2004 alongside John McMahon and was later to join
Diarmuid “Weeshie” Lynch serving in this position. Highly regarded
throughout the County and beyond John Joe is undoubtedly a dedicated
worker and a popular Officer with everybody.
NORTH KERRY A G M. The Annual General Meeting of the North Kerry
Football Board will take place at Christys “The Well Bar”, Listowel on
Wednesday January 25th with a starting time of 8pm. Eddie Anthony
Walsh from the local club will once again be seeking re-election as
Vice Chairman. Local delegates will be in attendance. Certainly Eddie
has proved to be an outstanding Officer for both his Club and District
Board and who was also a well know Referee at senior level; but even
though now semi retired he was recently called upon once again to help
out in an hour of need when there was nobody available on the day for
the McCarthys Insurance Brokers Senior League Division 2 Final between
Ballylongford and Ballyduf for one reason or another; it was then
left to Eddie to officiate and the dedicated 70 plus years of age
probably wrote himself into at least the North Kerry Football History
books.
FIXTURES. In the Under 21 North Kerry Championship; sponsored by
Dennehy Vetenary Clinic,Duagh; Asdee will be joined by Ballylongford
and Beale and they will take on Knocknagoshel/Brosna in the opening
Round pencilled in for this Saturday January 7th . Duagh will be the
venue.
