COISTE NA NOG.

The A G M of Coiste Na nOg Easa Duibhe took place at the Community Centre on Saturday evening last with a good sized attendance present The following were elected to office for the year ahead

Chairman, Gerdie O Carroll, Joint Secretaries, Geraldine O Connor and Liz Doran, Treasurer, John Kennedy, Children Welfare Officer Aine Kennedy, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Officer Kathleen Carmody. Mentors; 8/10s., Ritchard Dee and Charles Dalton,U12s, Marian Dillane, U16s, John Hannon.

GOLDEN GOAL

One of our Annual Fundraisers”GoldenGoal” got off the ground last weekend with the Televised National League, Division 1 game Monaghan v Dublin and our week 1 winner was; Mike “Tricky” Enright, Beale  This is in conjunction with upcoming Fixtures in both National Football and Hurling Leagues and Championship; (Televised games). Tickets are now available and will be on sale each week for the duration of both National League and Championship from Club members and at the usual outlets; “Jack Jays” Bar and John Pius at E2 each with E40 to be given out each week to the winning number that corresponds with the first goal scored.

NATIONAL DRAW

Tickets for the G A A National Club Draw are available to purchase from Club Officers and Members for E10 each. This Draw has been very kind to the Club over the past few years generating badly needed cash to help the day to day running of the Club. There are 20 prizes to be won with the first prize of a Renault Clio Expression; along with 7 All Ireland Hurling and Football packages which includes match tickets, accommodation and Premium tickets, Travel Voucher worth E2000, Shopping Vouchers and plenty more to be won. This is a great opportunity for our Club to raise much needed funds and all funds raised will be retained by the Club. The Draw will take place on Wednesday March 6th with the presentation of the prizes taking place at Croke Park on St. Patricks Day. Cant win if your not in. Your continued generosity will once again be very much appreciated.

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Congratulations to Club Member Eddie Anthony Walsh of St. Marys, Asdee who was elected North Kerry Football Board Development Officer at their A G M held at Christys “The Well” Bar Listowel on Tuesday last. Certainly Eddie has served the Board well over the past seven years  coming in as Vice Chairman in 2012 for a 2 year period and then been re-elected for a further 5 years. He also served as Youth Officer; 2014 to 2018. Was Club Treasurer and Team Trainer and was one of the top Referees in the County back the years; again serving both his Club and the North Kerry Board with distinction. We wish him well in his new position. Also congrats to John Joe Walsh,from our neighbouring Club Ballylongford at the Eastern side of the parish and long time Officer of the North Kerry Board who was elected as Treasurer for the next 5 years having previously served as Assistant Treasurer and Development Officer.
