COUNTY LEAGUE

After a week lay off from the Credit Union County Football League Division 5 our senior footballers have a home tie against Glenflesk “B” at Jack Walsh Memorial Park with a starting time of 2pm on this Sunday April 2nd. 

In round 1 our trip to hot favouriies Kilgarvan proved fruitless going down by a single point in a game we should have at least got something out of; so on this occasion a win is vital to keep up with the leaders of the group. Local support would be appreciated.

MEMBERSHIP

Time is running out for anybody who may require membership of the club for the year ahead.This year with extra games in the All Ireland Senior Championship and Munster Championship match tickets will be in huge demand so all local followers of the G A A that will be in need of match tickets for the respective games should contact Club Registrar Kevin Mulvihill and he will be only too happy to help. 

Adults E30, Senior Citizens and Under Age E10. So with just over a week to go before Membership closes; (March 31st) and this will be strictly adhered to. Only fully paid up members will be in line for any match tickets that the Club may aquire. Just remember no membership; no match tickets.

GOLDEN GOAL

The clubs Golden Goal fundraising competition continues each week until the All Ireland football final on Sunday July 30th. Weekly entry E2;, with prizemoney E40.each week to the winning numbers.. Purchase from John Pius Walsh, shop, Kevin Mulvihill. Patsy Coughlan or John Joe O Carroll.

Week 8/9 winners of the Golden Goal were; week 8;  Mike English, Beale Ballybunion, Conor Coughlan, Carrigaline, County Cork, Eoin Keane, Tullahinell North, Ballylongford. Week 9; Tom Lynch, Tullamore, Ballybunion, Jerry and Marian O Sullivan, Tullamore, Ballybunion.John Patrick, O Gorman, Glaunwillian, Asdee. 

Next weeks game will feature, Mayo v Galway National Football League Final.

SCOR NA bPAISTI.

The local G A A Club have been practicing hard for the upcoming Scor Na bPaisti event on Sunday April the 2nd; a competition for National School children and which Parish Rule will be strictly enforced. 

The Marian Hall Moyvane is the venue and the days activities will be getting underway at 2pm sharp. As usual and down through the years great local support will be in attendance.

U 9 Go Games Football Programme.

News in from John Dillon, G D A North Kerry that he has

 Groups and Fixtures for Phase 1 of the U 9 Go Games Football Programme and  are planning to run 2 phases for U 9 Football. 

– Games Programme planned to start on Tuesday 11th April 

-Games are pencilled in for Tuesday evenings at 6.15pm. 

-Games are 7 a side with all players getting equal game time 

-Teams of mixed ability 

The first named team has home advantage.  Can the home team please contact the visiting team 2 weeks before fixture to confirm date and time of the games. Online meeting on Zoom for U 9 Football Managers will take place on Tuesday 28th March at 8.30pm.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the format and structure of the Games Programme.
