NORTH KERRY LEAGUE
Due to the inclement weather conditions we have been experiencing at the minute the North Kerry Football League Division 2, second round game due to be played on Sunday last at O Rahilly Park, Ballylongford between Asdee and Ballylongford has been posponed to a later date.
MINORS
ASDEE/BALLYLONGFORD 4-5 KNOCKNAGOSHEL/BROSNA 2-7 The first round of the Division 5 Minor County Football League threw-in at 4 o’clock on Saturday last (20th) in very poor conditions at Walsh Park, Knocknagoshel. Underfoot conditions were very slippery and the elements continued to batter the teams which lead to a lot of errors from both sides. The first half ended on the low scoreline of Asdee/Bally 2-1 Knock/Brosna 1-2. It was the homeside that started the brighter in the second half with the wind and rain beginning to ease slightly.
They dominated possession for the first 10 minutes and managed to gain a slender 1 point lead. Asdee/Bally however soon got the grips again and goals from the boots of Thomas Doherty and Eoin O’Connor put the visitors ahead once more. Asdee/Bally continued to dominate for the remainder of the game and conceded very little with the exception of a 30th minute goal from the homeside.
The game ended Asdee/Bally: 4-5, Knock/Brosna: 2-7. Asdee/Bally have a bye in round 2 on Thursday March 5th while on Thursday March 12th they will play Beale at home . FUNDRAISER
Asdee GAA club are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the club this year and as a result will be undertaking our first large –scale fundraising drive in a number of years and will be hosting a “Stars In Their Eyes” Fundraiser in the Community Centre on Saturday April 9th and are at the minute seeking programme sponsorship from people and businesses in the area with whom we, our members, have dealt or continue to do business with.
The club are looking for E25 for a quarter page, sponsorship, E50 for a half page and E100 for a full page sponsorship. Once again we greatly appreciate your continued support to make this a successful venture. The wording and lay out of your advert can be emailed to asdeegaaweb@gmail,com.

The next meeting of the club will take place in the Community Centre on Thursday March 3rd commencing at 8pm.
SCOR NA bPAISTI
Date and Venue for Scor Na bPaisti North Kerry Finals have been confirmed and will go ahead at the Marian Hall, Moyvane on Sunday March 20th commencing at 2pm. The local club will be taking part in the majority of the catagories.
GOLDEN GOAL.
At the moment there is the Golden Goal Fundraising event for the Club going ahead and will be in conjunction with upcoming Fixtures in both National Football and Hurling League and Championship. (Televised games) Tickets are on sale from club members and at outlets; Jack Js Bar, Post Office and John Pius at E2 each with E40 to be given out each week to the winning number which corresponds with the first goal scored. A. G. M. The North Kerry Football Annual General Convention will take place at Christy The Square Listowel on this Tuesday March 1st at 8pm. Local club delegates, Mark O Hanlon and Patsy Coughlan will be representing the club.

Credit Union County Football League Division 5. Asdee will travel to Cromane to take on the locals on Sunday March 20th, 2pm. In the Premier Junior County Championship Qualifier Asdee will have a home tie against Firies at Walsh Park on Sunday April 17th.
COUNTY MINOR LEAGUE .
Asdee/Bally will have a bye in Round 2 on Saturday March 5th, In Round 3 on Saturday March 12th 4pm we will be at home to Beale. Round 4 on Saturday March 26th, 4pm again a home game against Ballyduff/Duagh while in the final Round on Friday April 1st, 6 30pm it will be Keel/Listry away. Home games will be played at O Rahilly Park, Ballylongford.
