Annual General Meeting, A sizable number of people attended the St. Mary’s Asdee GAA Club’s Annual General Meeting, which was recently held in the Community Centre. One notable change in officership from the previous year was the Chairman Sean Doran stepped down from his position.

Prior to the meeting getting underway there was a minute’s silence observed for all who suffered bereavements during the year gone by. Chairman, Sean Doran welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked everybody for their support once again during the year past with a special mention to our many sponsors too numerous to mention. The following officers were elected:

Patron Fr. Michael Hussey, President John Doran, (Senior), Chairman Tom Kennedy, Vice Chairman John Kennedy, Secretary Mark O Hanlon, Assistant Secretary Kathleen Carmody, Treasurer John Joe O Carroll, Assistant Treasurers Thomas Walsh, Registrar Kevin Mulvihill, Scor Officer Kathleen Carmody, Development and Safety Gerdie O Carroll, Children Welfare Officer Sandra O Hanlon, Health & Wellbeing Officer Kathleen Carmody, Coaching Officer John Kennedy, PRO Jack Hennessy, Delegates County Board Oliver Kearney, North Kerry Board Mark O Hanlon and Patsy Coughlan.

Golden Goal, the club’s Golden Goal fundraising competition starts on 4th of February 2024 with the GAA season kicking off with the second round of the Allianz League football game.

The club will continue weekly fundraising Golden Goal competition to cover the intercountry playing season until the All-Ireland football final on Sunday July 28th.

Weekly entry €2 with prizemoney €40 each week. The person with the minute first goal is the winner. A no goal entry is also included. 26 league and championship games between the 4th of February 2024 and 24th of July 2024.

Payment options; 5 weeks €10, 10 weeks €20, and 26 weeks €50.Purchase from John Pius Walsh, shop, club Officers and online at asdeegaa.com. 73 entries per group. Weekly cut off time for entry is Friday 8pm.

Club Meeting, the Asdee GAA Club will meet in the Asdee Community Centre on Tuesday, January 30 at 8:00 p.m.

Scor, the County Final of Scor na nOg will take place on the 2nd of February. Scor na bPaisti North Kerry Final will take place on Sunday 25th February.  Time and venue TBC. Senior Scor will also take place in early March.
