COISTE NA NOG – The A G M of Coiste Na nOg Easa Duibhe took place at the Community Centre on Wednesday evening last with a good size attendance present. The following were elected to office for the year ahead Chairman, Gerdie O Carroll, Joint Secretaries, Geraldine O Connor and Liz Doran, Treasurer, John Kennedy, Children Welfare Officer Aine Kennedy. Mentors; 8/10s., Richard Dee, Charles Dalton and Matthew O Hanlon, U12s, Marian Dillane, U16s, Sean Hannon.
MEMBERSHIP – Membership of the Club is now open so anybody who would like to take out membership can do so by contacting Club Registrar, Kevin Mulvihill, Adults €20, Senior Citizens and Under Age €10, Family €50.
GOLDEN GOAL – Annual Fundraisers “Golden Goal” will kick off with the Televised National League, Division 1 game Dublin v Kerry. This is in conjunction with upcoming Fixtures in both National Football and Hurling Leagues and Championship; (Televised games). Tickets are now available and will be on sale each week for the duration of both National League and Championship from Club members and at the usual outlets; “Jack Jays” Bar and John Pius at €2 each with €40 to be given out each week to the winning number that corresponds with the first goal scored. So once again we ask for your continued support.
UPCOMING FIXTURES – First up in early February will be the commencement of the North Kerry League where Asdee will be competing in Division 1. League format and dates to be confirmed at a Meeting of the C C C of the North Kerry Football Board.
Minors will play in Division 6B of the County League which is penciled in for mid-February with Moyvane/Tarbert, St. Pats, Cordal/Scartaglen providing the opposition.
Moving on to Division 5 of the County Football League, a new format for the upcoming league there will be a Division 5 and Division 6, with promotion and relegation between both divisions. Division 5, Asdee, Moyvane, Kilgarvan, Ballylongford, Kerins O`Rahilly’s B, Cromane, Cordal, Sneem/Derrynane, Ballyduff, Austin Stacks B,Valentia, St Michael’s-Foilmore.
SCÓR – SCÓR NA NOG – All Ireland Finals of Scór Na nOg to be held in the INEC Killarney on Saturday February 1st.Quiz starting at 11.30am and the remainder of the days program commencing at 2pm.SCÓR SINSEAR – All district finals to be completed by March 6th, County Finals of Scór Sinsear on Saturday March 14th. Venue to be confirmed. Quiz gets underway at 4pm with the on-stage competitions having a starting time of 5.30pm. SCÓR NA bPAISTÍ – All district finals to be completed by April 5th.
