Results – Credit Union Senior Football League 2021, Asdee 5 – 11, Kerins O`Rahilly’s B 0-09, the opening half saw the Tralee side giving as good as they got and controlled the majority of the first half as Asdee were sloppy and kicked some terrible wides. Keelan Crowe was in fine form for the visitors at midfield. and controlled that area for long periods. TJ McMahon and Brian Scannell were causing plenty problems for the home defence.
The game got underway with the Tralee side very much to the fore but by the 4th minute Asdee had registered 2pts without reply with Darragh Keane and Paul O Carroll on target. Brian Scannell, T J McMahon, John Dillane tagged on pts for the visitors and from here in it was tit for tat with some fine passages of football but even though it was close on the scoreboard O Rahilly’s were that bit ahead.
Darren Russell and Eoin Kennedy kicked points as we approached the end of the half and then it all fell apart for Rahilly’s and in a 2mt spell Owen Tydings was grounded and from the resultant penalty he billowed the net.
This was followed directly from Brendan Keane who was making his debut to senior football and at the break it was the home side who led by 2-6 to 0-5. 4mts into the second half this game was as good as dusted when Owen Tydings struck for his 2nd goal. Brian Scannell kept the scoreboard ticking over for the visitors but a flurry of points from Asdee together with 2 further goals; a lovely backheel from Con Carmody and Cyril Dineen sealed the issue.
