NORTH KERRT LEAGUE. Asdee Duagh Our senior footballers travelled to Duagh on Sunday last to take on the locals in their remaining game in the McCarthys Insurance Brokers Senior League Division 2. Duagh having already qualified for a semi final place started the game as favourities having been impressive in all their games up to date whereas Asdee needed to win to keep in in touch to reach the knockout stages. The visitors got off to a good start with 3 points on the board before the home side registered a score. However this should have been a much bigger lead only for some terrible shooting. It was 5 points each at the break and things looked well for a very much understrength Asdee side but on the changeover a quick goal saw Duagh hit the front. The home side took complete control and kicked some fine scores. Still Asdee battled and brought back the lead to 4pts with a penalty well put away by Eoin Tydings as we entered the 3rd quarter. Once again the home team settled and added the match winning scores to finish comfortable victors. Team and scorers; james Kelly, Conor Keane, Martin Collins, Con Carmody, Jack Keane, Kieran Kelly, Sean Keane, John Doran Darragh Keane, 2pts, Mike Breen, 1pt, Paul O Carroll, 1pt, Micheal Walsh, Dinny Dalton, Eoin Tydings, 1-3, Keith McNamara. Sub, Cyril Dineen for Dinny Dalton.
