Results – Credit Union Senior Football League 2021 Rd 3, Sneem /Derrynane 2-13, Asdee 0-07
Asdee travelled to Derrynane on Sunday last, the home team were first on the scoreboard with a free from Jack Riney. Paul Carroll equalized with a free for Asdee and they followed up with points from Darren Russell and Paul O Carroll .Sneem/Derrynane responded with points from Conor O’ Brien, Morgan O’ Donoghue and Eoin Sullivan.
This was followed by a converted penalty from Conor O Brien to leave it 1-4 to 0-3 at the first water break. Ian Galvin added another point in the19th minute and Darren Russell answered that with a point for Asdee. An Eoin Sullivan goal extended the home teams lead to 2-5 to 0-4 in the 21st minute.
A point each from Conor O’Brien and Paul Carroll both from frees left the half time score 2-6 to 0-5 in favour of Sneem /Derrynane. The home team started the second half with an early point from a Jack Riney free and followed on with points from Tim Murphy, Eoin Sullivan Jack Riney (2) and Morgan O ‘Donoghue that left it 2-12 to 0-5 on 53 minutes.
Martin Collins and Paul O Carroll added a point each for Asdee before Ian Galvin’s point in the 58th minute for the home team left the final score 2-13 to 0-7 in favour of Sneem/Derrynane.
Golden Goal – last week winners were Kathleen Carmody and John Joe O Carroll. Next weekend game will be Tipperary v Kerry in the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final on Saturday 10th of July.
