NORTH KERRY LEAGUE – Asdee  2-7  Listowel Emmets  2-17

Played in Frank Sheehy Park on Sunday last Asdee despite putting up another fine display against very strong Division 1 (B) side Listowel Emmets had to give way to pre match favourites but not before they gave as good as they got and pushing the home side to the limit for the majority of the game only for the more experienced Townies to finish the job in a canter.

The opening half saw the visitors play some excellent open football and at the 15th minute mark it was Eoin Kennedy who struck for a great goal and another from the goal poacher supreme; Cyril Dineen left the half time score; Asdee 2-4 Listowel Emmets 1-9.

On resumption Asdee drew level at 2-6 to 1-9. However, Listowel Emmets went up another gear and in added time grabbed 1-1 to pick up their first League points with an impressive and late scoring burst to finish deserving winners. Eoin Kennedy, Cyril Dineen, Con Carmody, Paul O Carroll and Darragh Keane were amongst the Asdee scorers.
