NOVICE CHAMPIONS 1988 Next week we will take a look back on the County Champions of 1988 who are this year; (2013) celebrating that victory of 25 years. Also it was 100 years ago in 1913 that the famous Jack Moriarty of littor Road Asdee won the Croke Memorial medal with Kerry. The cash flo of £1930 collected at the gate was the windfall which enabled the G A A purchase Croke Park; (then Jones Road) again in the year ending 13; while the present day footballers gained County glory in 2013. Certainly the year ending 13 is a lucky number for Asdee. Since then many players from Asdee have graced the pitch in Croker with distinction .
