That another outstanding feat by a Ballyduff man, Gary O Brien who won the All Ireland Under 21 Superweight title and also on the same day collected his second National Medal when he was a substitute on the successful Kerry Under 21 Hurling team.
That St. Senans G A A Club were presented with an award in Croke Park on Monday January 9th, 2000, as they came second in Kerry in the best club of the year. There were over 100 entries in Kerry with Dr. Crokes, Killarney declared the winners. The awards were in recognition of the way the clubs were structured.
