A G M  The date and venue has been confirmed for the  Asdee G A A  Annual General Meeting which go ahead on Friday February 7th, 8pm in the Community Centre. All motions and nominations  must be with Secretary Mark O Hanlon not later than Wednesday February 5th.

MUNSTER FINAL. Due to the difficult weather conditions we are experiencing at the minute there has been no date confirmed for our Munster Final clash with Charleville. However this did not deter our footballers from their training schedule with huge numbers turning up at Jack Walsh Park. There is credit due to all players, selectors and the people who supply refreshments on the night. The final has now been dragging out too much and its not fair on either club after a long playing season to have to wait this long. Asdee were available to play on any given day so lets hope that that a date can be confirmed by the Knockaderry Club sooner rather than later.

NORTH KERRY LEAGUE. This will be commencing on Sunday March 16 with Asdee playing in Division 2 of the McCarthys Insurance Brokers North Kerry Football League. The following are the teams in the group with dates to be confirmed later. Asdee, Duagh, Knocknagoshel, Ballyduff, Moyvane. Ballylongford who were worthy winners of this division last year were promoted to Division 1 and they were replaced by Moyvane who was relegated from the top tier. It’s a tough assignment for Asdee

SCOR CHIARRAI THUAIDH.  Dates and venues have been confirmed for both Scor Sinsear and Scor Na bPaisti.

The North Kerry Finals of Scor Sinsear (Sponsored by Tom O Sullivan of Kilcolman Agri Supplies, Asdee) will take place in the Community Centre, Asdee on Saturday February  22nd commencing at 7pm sharp.

The Tintean Theatre Ballybunion will host the North Kerry Finals of Scor Na bPaisti on Sunday March 23rd commencing at 1 30pm.

A G M. Arising out of a North Kerry Football Board Officers meeting held in Coolard it was decided to postpone the North Kerry Football Board Annual General Meeting until February 4th 2014 at 8 pm in the Mermaids Listowel. Eddie Anthony Walsh will be seeking re-election for the position of Vice Chairman.                                                                     . Eddie Anthony Walsh who talks and breathes football is a true Gael won many honours in his playing days with New York Kerry and when he returned to Ireland became a regular on the great Ballylongford team of the 70s winning North Kerry League, Championship andCounty Intermediate medals and also later winning honours with his native Asdee. When St. Marys, Asdee Club was reformed in 1986 he became Treasurer and holds that position to this day which is 28 years ago, He was also one of the Clubs Referees officiating at games throughout the County and still will make himself available if the need arises.  In 2013 he was elected Vice Chairman of the North Kerry Football Board and his position here was to be Referees Chairman in which he excelled. There is so much more on a glittering sporting career but space would not allow. So no doubt “Ant” who in fairness has given a lifetime of service to the G A A both as an administrator and Referee has no intention of retiring and will continue to serve the G A A as he has now done for over a very long period of time.
