CLUB MEETING. The following is an update from last weeks monthly meeting of the local St. Marys G A A Club. Chairman Padraig Vallelly congratulated the senior football team, management and supporters for their recent County Final victory over Bally and wished the team all the best in their upcoming historic Junior “B” Munster campaign. He thanked our participants who took part in the Coiste Scor Chiarrai Thuaidh recently; Maria Hannon and Anthony Hanlon with the latter going forward to the County semi finals of Coiste Scor Chiarrai at Scor Na nOg level on Friday November 23rd at the Community Centre Knocknagoshel. A special thanks went to Mary Healy Hannon, John Kennedy and Sean Hannon for decorating the Village prior to the final.

FUNDRAISING  With finance a major concern this was another major topic of conversation on the night and once again there will be a number of Fundraising events organised by the club. A Christmas Hamper Draw will take place and tickets can be obtained from Club Assistant Secretary, Kathleen Carmody or any club member. Draw to take place at Jessie James Tavern with full details later. St. Stephens Day will once again see our annual pilgrimage to hunt the “Wren”, this of course will be an extra  special occasion as members of the victorious senior footballers will be travelling along with the County Trophy for all to see. A Social committee has been formed to organise this event and it is expected that this will be taking place over the Christmas period.  However this is going to be a fundraiser with a difference; for just E50 you can sponsor any of our senior footballers for the Munster campaign; your name will appear on Asdee G A A Website next to the players name and will also appear on Facebook. Once again we ask for your continued support for these fundraisers.

FIXTURE DRAW  Club competitions in Munster Junior “B” are moving towards the latter stages; quarter final will see Moy from Clare taking on the Cork champions Charleville with the winners to play the Tipperary champions. Asdee will take on  Limerickchampions Fedamore or Feenagh/Kilmeedy in a semi final.
