Asdee exit Championship after defeat

Asdee were defeated by five points by Knocknagoshel in a game played in great conditions in Tullahinell on Sunday. An Edmund Walsh score got te visitors off the scoreboard with a point in the 4th minute. Mike Breen cancelled this out with a pointed free aminute later. Knocknagoshels Niall Barrett got on the end of a fine move to rattle the net in the 7th minute. This score meant Asdee would be playing catch up for the rest of the half.
However, the home side battled hard and points from Darren Russell,Charlie Dalton and Noel Long in the 13,15 and 20th minutes left the sides level. Two points in the space of a minute restored Knocks lead before a great Michael Tydings score in the 31st minute cut the deficit to single point at halftime. Knock started the second half much better with points in the 5,8,9 minutes before a brilliant Edmund Walsh goal in the 12 minute left Asdee trailing by seven points.
Mike Breen got Asdee off the mark in the 14th minute and followed it up with a fine effort on the 17th minute. Knock made sure of the victory with point in the 25, 26 th minutes before two Darren Russell frees in the 28 and 30 minutes left the final score Knocknagoshel 2-08 Asdee 0-09
