COUNTY LEAGUE. The remaining game in the Credit Union County Football League Division 5; Asdee v Duagh due to take place at Walsh Park on Sunday last turned out to be a non event as Duagh conceded giving the home side a walkover. This has been a very successful County League season for St. Marys who were in contention for promotion up to the latter stages of the competition. Now hopefully with a little more effort that promotion spot to Division 4 can become a reality in 2015. The 2015 line up will have at least six North Kerry teams involved in Division 5; with a possibility that it may be seven as Ballydonoghue involved in a promotion spot with Renard with the winners gaining a step up to Division 4.With Ballylongford, Knocknagoshel and Ballyduff dropping down from Division 4 who will be joined by Moyvane, Duagh and Asdee and the remaining teams will be either Renard or Ballydonoghue, Sneem/Derrynane, Tuosist, Valentia, Kilgarvan and Laune Rangers.

SCOR.  The best of luck to Anthony Hanlon from the local St. Marys Club who will represent both his club and District Board  at the County  Finals of Scor Na nOg in the Community Centre, Glenbeigh on this Sunday November 30th, 2pm.

CONGRATULATIONS. Well done to the Asdee/Bally Minor footballers and mentors who defeated St. Senans in the North Kerry Minor Division 2 (13-a-side) Championship on Saturday last in Duagh. Full report in the Sports section of the Kerryman.

CENTRAL COUNCIL. The best of luck to John Joe O Carroll who will be going forward as a candidate to contest the position of Central Council Delegate at the County A G M on Monday December 8th at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel Tralee. John Joe who was Treasurer of the CountyBoard for a period of 10 years and who is already on a Finance Committee in Croke Park has been getting a great response in his canvas around the County. So now hopefully the hard working and popular Asdee man will get the necessary votes to put him in Office.
