NORTH  KERRY  LEAGUE

The 2017 season gets underway for our Senior Footballers with a 2nd
Round game having got a bye in Round 1 on last weekend in the
McCarthys Insurance Brokers Senior League Division 2 with an away game
against Knocknagoshel on this Sunday February 12th with a 2pm
throw-in. Our record in this competition has been fairly impressive
down the years but failing to lift the trophy having reached the Final
in 2014 and 2015 and last year were defeated at the semi final stage
was a huge disappointment. The panel of players have responded well to
training and have worked hard over the past few weeks so hopefully on
this occasion this year we can go one better and finally get into the
winners enclosure. Once again it will be made difficult and with teams
of the calibre of Duagh, and Knocknagoshel (away) Moyvane and
Ballyduff  (home) standing in the way we will be made to work hard for
victory. The format once again will be that the top team with the
highest number of  league points will qualify for the final and also
be promoted to Division 1 while both second and third placed teams to
play a semi final. The team will be boasted this year by the coming of
age for senior football of Conor Keane and Jack Keane; both players
who were star underage players and they certainly will be a huge
addition the Club.

BEST OF LUCK. The best of luck to P J Mulvihill of Moyvane on his
