COUNTY LEAGUE  Due to Ballyduffs involvement in the Garveys SuperValue County Senior Hurling Championship the Credit Union County Football League Division 5, Round 8 game game between Ballyduff who had home advantage and Asdee down for decision for Sunday last was not played. Ballyduff have conceded a  number of w/os so whether this game will go ahead at a later date we must wait for the C C C C of the County Board to decide. This is the second week in a row that Asdee haven’t a game in the County league with Ballylongford failing to fulfil a  back game on Sunday July 19th. Certainly this is no advantage to our senior footballers who are prepairing for a number of important games coming up which includes a North Kerry League Division 2 Final against Moyvane and a County Novice Championship Semi Final with St. Senans and even though the team are training on a regular basis; its all about playing games which would be the ideal preparation for those games coming up.

MINORS. Asdee/Bally Minor footballers continued on their winning ways with a convincing  10 point victory over Beale in a high scoring encounter played at O Rahilly Park, Ballylongford on Monday evening last. Asdee/Bally 5-18 Beale 6-5. Remaining games.

27/7/15    Asdee/Bally v St. Senans

  3/8/15    Asdee/Bally v Finuge

10/8/15    Asdee/Bally v Brosna/Knocknagoshel

All games have a 7 30pm throw-in time with first named teams having home venue.

Format; Top two teams play in the final. If teams are tied on points then the original game result will stand. The following fixtures have been made by the C C C  of the North Kerry football  Board involving Asdee/Bally;

UNDER 12.  Asdee/Bally Under 12s were defeated by Tarbert at home in the North Kerry League Division 2 on a scoreline of Asdee/Bally 3-8 Tarbert 5-13.

THE YEAR 2000.  Its worth recalling not just for the result but the fact that Asdee travelled to Listry to take on the locals in an Under 12; (11-a-side) County League game winning on a scoreline of 8-14 to Listrys 1-8 on the second Sunday in May 2000. All fine but just 3 of that line out continues to play at present; Eoin O Carroll, Dinny Dalton and Eoin Kennedy. The actual team and substitutes that were present on the day lined out as follows; John Rea, Dinny Dalton, Marcus Long, Timoty Lascker, Nial Doran, Thomas Mulvihill, 2-2, Gearoid McElligott, Eoin O Carroll, 2-3, David Ruddle, Stephen O Carroll, 1pt, Eoin Kennedy, 4-8. Subs; Robbie Buckley, Denis O Connor, Thomas Rea, Niamh Griffin, Maura Stack.

FIXTURES.  Credit Union County Football League; Remaining games; Home to both Duagh and Renard while the trip to Knocknagoshel lies in between. At the moment Asdee would be in contention for promotion to Division 3 but it would need victory in those remaining games but who in fact all three are favourities to go up. A difficult enough assignment but the team are more than capable of further success.  . The McCarthys Insurance Brokers North Kerry League Division 2 Final; Asdee v Moyvane has been posponed to a later date. County Novice Championship Semi Final, Asdee v St. Senans date and venue to be confirmed.
