St. Marys,Asdee G A A are proud to announce thae we are holding our second edition of “ Stars in their Eyes” to be held in the Community Centre on Saturday night November 18th. The doors will open at 7pm with proceedings getting underway at 8pm sharp. We will also be providing a barin the marquee with a Disco afterwards. After a massively popular night last year with a full house it promises to be another top class night of entertaintment. We are looking forward to seeing acts from all round North Kerry go head to head to win either the judges prize or the popular vote. Just like many groups in rural Ireland we are striving to keep the local St. Marys Club and the Community spirit alive. We are hoping that this event can help to achieve that, and progress our plans to further enchance the facilities at Jack Walsh Park. Keep an eye out for further details as the show will see each act imitate their famous counterpart in what promises to be a night of fun and entertainment, with drinks, prizes and other surprises in store.The contestants and further details will be revealed in the near future. Should anyone like to take part on the night, please send us a message, as a few spots are still available. The club hopes to make it a night to remember in the community and any support is very welcome.

NORTH  KERRY  SENIOR  CHAMPIONSHIP.   The McMunns Bar and Restaurant, Ballybunion Sponsored Bernard O Callaghan Memorial North Kerry Senior Football Championship is progressing well despite the difficult weather conditions we experienced last weekend with all games going ahead as planned. However in round 1, out go last years runners up St. Senans, Knocknagoshel, Ballylongford, Moyvane, Finuge and Castleisland Desmonds . Tarbert who received a first round bye are already through to the last eight and which now clears the way for the Quarter Finals. So with a semi final place up for grabs the following is that Quarter Final draw; Asdee v Listowel Emmets, Ballydonoghue v Duagh, Beale v Brosna and Ballyduff  v Tarbert. The C C C of the North Kerry Football Board will confirm dates and venues for all games which will be played at neutral venues.

BEREAVEMENT. On behalf of St. Marys, Asdee G A A Club we would take this opportunity to sympathise with the O Gorman family, Ballynoneen and Asdee West on the death of Joe who passed away recently. Joe was a loyal G A A man and was always involved with the G A A in the Parish having been a Vice Chairman and selector during the golden years of Ballylongford football during the late 60s and 70s. When Asdee were re-formed in 1986 he came on board in many ways; as Selector with the Senior team, Delegate to North Kerry Football Board, involved in various committees and was one of the Vice Presidents of the club up to the time his death. He also represented the club at District Board level with Shannon Rangers at Minor and Senior level. Ar deis de go raibh a ainm.


SCOR NA NOG. The North Kerry Finals of Scor Na nOg will go ahead on Saturday November 11th  with a venue to be confirmed where all the clubs within the District Board will take part. All the winners in the various catagories will then go forward to the County Finals which is down for decision for Saturday November 18th commencing at 5pm with the venue being the “Racecourse” Killarney.


A G M. The Annual General Meeting of Coiste Scor Na nOg has been rescheduled for Wednesday November 1st at 8pm and will take place at the Austin Stack, Park, Pavilion. Local Club Delegate will be in attendance.

Bernard O Callaghan Memorial North Kerry Senior Football Championship, Round 1. Asdee have home venue at Walsh  Park which gets underway on Sunday October 15th.
