COUNTY LEAGUE. Asdee  1-6  Duagh  3-7. Asdee senior footballers had a difficult assignment on Saturday last in round 1 of the Credit Union County League when they travelled to the home of the North Kerry Football Championship winners but in fairness although missing a few key players they gave of their best but failed to register those County League points.

Inside the opening stages of the game it was Asdee who got off to a great start with Eoin Tydings finding the net and after 10mts or so had led 1-3 without reply. However Duagh hit a purple patch between the 15th and 26th mts when Denny Lane hit two goals and a John O Brien penalty; this leaving the visitors with an uphill struggle. Half time score. Duagh 3-3 Asdee 1-3.

The second half had little scoring but the experience of the home side saw them take those valuable County League points.

Asdee; Conor Coughlan, Sean Keane, Martin Collins, Eoin O Carroll, Kieran Kelly, Noel Long, Con Carmody, John Doran, Padraig Ruddle, Micheal Walsh, Darren Russell, 1pt  Michael Tydings, Eoin Tydings, 1-3, Charlie Dalton, Eoin Kennedy, 2pts. Subs, Brian Coughlan for Noel Long, inj, David O Connor for Con Carmody, Barry O Donoghue for Micheal Walsh.
